"The southwest monsoon has become active in almost all parts of the state except a few districts like Koriya and Bilaspur, he said.Moderate to heavy rainfall coupled with thunderstorm is likely at one or two places in Surguja, Jashpur, Balrampur, Koriya, Surajpur, Bilasupr, Raigarh, Bastar, Dantewada and Narayanpur districts in next 24 hours, he said.Besides, one or two places in Surguja, Jashpur, Balrampur, Raigarh, Korba, Raipur and Balod districts will receive moderate to heavy rainfall in next 48 hours, he said.Many parts of the state, including Raipur, recorded good spells of rainfall in the last couple of days resulting in pleasant weather conditions, he said.On Sunday morning, Raipur recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degree Celsius, while Bilaspur witnessed a maximum temperature of 31.4 deg C, Ambikapur 34.5 deg C and Jagdalpur 30.9 deg C, he added.The revenue and disaster management department has set up a state-level flood control room in Raipur and similar facilities in all other districts to monitor and deal with any flood-like situation, another official said.Collectors of all districts have been directed to make necessary arrangements to tackle such a situation, he added.Copyright © 2020 Living Media India Limited.
