I returned my nighthawk after 4 months of BS from Telstra and Netgear. I then spent several trips to the Telstra shop and paid yet more money for the IT help only to discover that There was only a pseudo-static IP that reset every time the modem was turned off rendering it useless for my purposes.

I need a static IP address and port forwarding for my business which is in a cowork, so there are some 200 businesses using the network making it a soft target if there was port forwarding on the native network. I directly thought it was a bug of some sorts and after playing for some days and getting the same result, I decided to report to NETGEAR.

It's really only useful when your Internet connection is fully congested by other traffic. My port forwarding rules disappeared after a day or so. Hopeless so far.Devices are also blocked from talking to each other between network types which is a PITA, and no way to override at the moment either.I am fairly certain that it will not come out within the timespan you are looking for.



Updated, but still no access to advanced features we are still waiting for like port forwarding.We purchased 3 x Nighhawk M2 routers and have a telstra business account.

My new router (r7000) now is broadcasting at half speed. You can always experiment with QoS on and off.

Now going on at 4 days uptime and port forwarding is still there



Missing "Advanced Settings" side tab I had updated to FW V1.0.4.14_1.1.50 a couple of weeks ago and today noticed I was missing the Advanced Setting tab.
