The report recommended that all those with the Red Arrows crew should complete simulator training before undertaking live flight experiences. "The inquiry found that Flight Lieutenant Stark ejected half-a-second before the crash "following the dramatic realisation that the aircraft would impact the ground", and there was not enough time for him to properly warn the engineer.Corporal Bayliss was born in Dartford, Kent, and worked at the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit before joining the RAF in 2001.As an engineer with the Red Arrows, he supported the team in tours of China, the Middle East and Europe. In early 2018 he was promoted to the Circus team, a small group of highly trained engineers who travel with the aircraft and provide technical support away from its base.Sign up for the Lincolnshire Live daily newsletter by entering your email address in the box at the top of this page, underneath the photograph, and hitting the subscribe button.Follow us on Twitter - For breaking news and the latest stories, Follow us on Instagram - For beautiful pictures and the top stories, Download our App - For news alerts and to browse our stories For the news that's local to you - we've got facebook groups for RAF Engineer Corporal Jonathan Bayliss died in the crashWhen you subscribe we will use the information you provide to send you these newsletters. "The family understand that the MOD and RAF have already begun to implement some of these recommendations and hope that they continue to do so in order to avoid further similar tragedies in the future.”The investigation concluded that Flight Lt Stark was almost certainly fatigued, distracted and experiencing reduced situational awareness. It noted that he was distracted by an air traffic control call asking him to confirm the aircraft's landing gear was down shortly before the accident. The panel concluded: "At the critical moment of the sortie he may not have recognised the associated hazards as the situation developed.
