Having absolutely loved Paddington (both the original TV series and the previous movie to this one) I was sceptical that the same highs of the 1st film could be reached. But she loved this one. I wish the real world was like the one in Paddington 2.

It was an easy promise to keep. Quite simply perfect. What an intelligently done film! This movie was a big surprise to me and my husband. Grizzly (1976 although it's a great z-grade film) got nothing on this bear.
Moving, poignant, laugh out loud funny and just plain silly... just great entertainment. There is an all-star cast.

Adapted from Michael Bond`s beloved books, PADDINGTON follows the comic misadventures of a polite young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a home. For someone who grow up watching the TV version with Sir Michael Hordern doing the narration and voicing Paddington. With so few films that are of any quality or even to be viewed by all generations, this is a wonderful story of love, compassion, humour and family values. Even two old duffers like us got so immersed we forgot it is actually about a talking teddy bear. Movies & TV; Movies; All of the actors clearly enjoyed being in this- you get the impression they were fighting over the cameo roles! There is hope for humanity. In addition the 4k hdr transfer is excellent and added to the viewing experience. Gruber gives Paddington a Chinese fingertrap and Paddington gets stuck to Mr. Curry while auditioning for a play. I found myself laughing so hard at one point that my reading glasses flew off of the back of my head. I shouldn't have doubted it, the film was almost as perfect a film as I could wish for.
I was weary of a follow up (sometimes they don't work). I rarely pre-order DVD, but this was a must!
Highly recommend the film for all the family members to enjoy!
